Two pieces of creative form the ‘roadblock’. A 300x250 rectangle is in the right hand column and is referred to as the LREC position. The 300x250 unit contains a video that is up to 30 seconds long. The video streams uninitiated, users can click to rewatch the video.
General Specs
- File size requirements for each piece of creative are detailed below in "Deliverables".
- Video plays uninitiated once per browser per day. Users click to rewatch the video on subsequent impressions.
- Audio must be initiated by user click. No mouse over starts. The clip plays uninitiated with audio muted. Users are prompted to click before the clip starts to enable sound. On reply audio is enabled.
- Y!7 will encode the video and stream it in the 300x250 unit. Code to control the streaming will be added by Y!7. The video clip may be up to 30 seconds long, however, shorter clips will allow the video to have better quality or be displayed at a larger size. A 15 second clip is highly recommended.
- The Y!7 code used to stream the video clip will add controls including a tracker button, stop, pause, and volume controls.
- Creative is subject to Y!7 approval.
Deliverables:
- 300x250 .swf and .fla files The 300x250 piece should include a stage in which the video is meant to play.
- 300x250 alternate image
- High quality uncompressed AVI or MOV of a trailer not more than 15 seconds long. We will compress the trailer so we must have a high quality source. Video compressed from an already compressed source (such as an mpeg or compressed avi) will not look as good as video that comes from a uncompressed .avi. Source video files will not be accepted if they are less than 60mb 15 seconds. Precompressed FLV files are not acceptable.
- All .swf files must be accompanied by .fla files and all required fonts in a PC format.
- .fla files and fonts in PC format are required and work on the ad cannot start until they are received.
